Hello, this is my first post here at UnrealPlayground (actually it was OSMT that made me aware of this place at all!). Just recently downloaded and started messing about with it, and it's a hell of a lot of fun to use! It's exactly the kind of mod for UT2004 I've been after for ages, so I must give props to SuperApe for his sterling work
Now, I'm not quite sure where this query fits in, but this seemed like the most appropriate place. For a good wee while now, I've been trying to create a basic level where I have a ScriptedCharacter set to follow me as an ally. I also have several ScriptedCharacters in the level with their attitudes set to Hate, the idea being that they'll attack me and anybody else following me. Soon discovered that of course, they don't, unless I can get them into each-other's lines of fire. So my query is this - how do I set enemy ScriptedCharacters to attack those following me and vice-cersa? I had a brief flick through the code, which brought up that they seemingly have the ability to 'hate player team opponents'. How would I go about setting that up? Any help would be vastly appreciated ![]() |

I'm not an OSM Mapper (or a mapper, really, if I'm honest
) but I think you may find some clues in OSM-NanoClean by Lord Simeon.I'm pretty sure they fight and are attacked by the enemy pawns, it certainly felt that way when I played it! That said, even in a simple Team game (DM/CTF etc.) bots do tend to focus on the player if you're the only human in a team of bots ...

![]() Although you're fighting against the standard Unreal monsters, and it's a problem specific to ScriptedCharacters fighting other ScriptedCharacters. Cheers for the heads up on the map though, at least I've still got another cool OSM map to play ![]() |

He sure is, SuperApes made it very easy for us lazy bum mappers to just pick it up and use. There's whole guides he has written on every aspect of using OSMT.
